First things first – What is online personal training/coaching?

Online coaching/training has become very popular in the last few years. It seems as though every instagram “celebrity” is now an on-line “coach” offering programs and nutrition plans with really no experience or background. Just because you have a set of abs does NOT make you qualified to be able to do it for someone else.

Many people of all different fitness levels and walks of life are starting to hire personal trainers to provide them with programs via e-mail. Typically the client will receive an exercise routine as well as nutritional plans or recommendations and maintain a level of correspondence with his or her trainer in order to make necessary changes and ensure you are on the right track.

What is online coaching like with Abby?

I’m going to be brutally honest. Most online coaching/training you find on the internet is not personal. You may have an email conversation to get started, one routine per month, a nutritional meal plan from someone who has no background or degree in nutritional science, pay your fee, and maybe speak to your trainer once per month, or week if you’re lucky. To me, this is not personal. Not to mention that most online coaches/trainers give clients cookie cutter programs even though they claim they don’t.       

My most sincere goal in offering my Personal Online Training expertise is to enable you to reach every single one of your health and fitness goals.  My second set of goals are to make my services available to those who live too far for me to coach one-on-one or just aren’t able to afford my personal training in person, on a regular basis.  Take a second to see what some of my clients have to say about my services HERE. Health and fitness have always been a huge part of my life. Being a runner, I was always signing up for local races, and eventually got into endurance races, competing in multiple marathons and half marathons. I was a complete cardio queen and thought that my body was in great shape! However, despite the fact that I was running multiple miles a day, my body wasn’t changing the way I wanted it to.  I was small and thin, but wasn’t seeing the results that I wanted to see. I had friends in the past (including Abby) who had competed in figure competitions…and was in awe of the way their bodies transformed….so I thought why not?! I contacted Abby to help me put together a plan. Honestly, the thought of lifting heavier weights, increasing calories, and decreasing cardio completely freaked me out! I was terrified of getting big or gaining weight. With Abby’s guidance, I followed a training program for about 3 months to get my body ready for a competition, bikini division. Abby was amazing at adjusting the program as needed and taught me to trust the process. She helped me understand that results take time, hard work, and dedication. With Abby’s help, I followed the workouts, learned how to eat the right foods to fuel my body, and started to put muscle on. When competition day arrived, my weight was down, I had lost inches, and my body was lean and tight.
